Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Compensation: ₦300,000 (Net Monthly)

Position Overview

As we advance toward our 20th Anniversary (20-in-26) strategic milestones, we are seeking a visionary and performance-driven Head of Programs to provide strategic leadership across our program portfolio.

This role is responsible for defining program direction, ensuring execution excellence, strengthening institutional partnerships, and scaling measurable community impact. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Programs will oversee the Projects, Programs Coordination, and Community Management teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Program Development

  • Develop and implement a multi-year program strategy aligned with organizational priorities and anniversary milestones.

  • Lead the design, planning, and execution of high-impact flagship initiatives.

  • Translate strategic goals into operational plans with clear timelines, deliverables, and accountability structures.

Program Execution & Oversight

  • Oversee end-to-end project implementation, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.

  • Supervise program managers and coordinators to drive performance and operational efficiency.

  • Establish standardized program management frameworks and reporting systems.

Partnerships & Resource Mobilization

  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with donors, corporate partners, government agencies, and community stakeholders.

  • Lead grant development, proposal writing, and funding negotiations.

  • Strengthen donor reporting mechanisms to ensure transparency and accountability.

Impact Measurement & Performance Management

  • Design and implement monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems.

  • Develop performance dashboards to track outcomes, reach, and cost-efficiency.

  • Present data-driven insights to executive leadership and the Board.

Team Leadership & Governance

  • Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and accountability across program teams.

  • Foster a collaborative, performance-oriented culture.

  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements and internal governance standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5+ years experience in NGO, nonprofit, or social impact program leadership.

  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and program execution.

  • Proven track record in grant management, donor engagement, and partnership development.

  • Strong financial oversight capabilities related to program budgeting and reporting.

  • Masters degree in Public Health, Social Work, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
